I just got an email letting me know that Zaycon foods will be doing another chicken event in this area on February 25, 26, 28 and March 1!  They have fresh, boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $1.59 a pound!  here are the places they will be having events:

  • Kelso
  • Rochester
  • Tacoma
  • Puyallup
  • Kent (we hope – still searching for delivery location)
  • Olympia (we hope – still searching for delivery location)
  • Issaquah (we hope – still searching for delivery location)
  • Lynnwood
  • Everett
  • Monroe (we hope – still searching for delivery location)
  • Arlington (we hope – still searching for delivery location)
  • Ellensburg (we hope – still searching for delivery location)
  • Yakima

If you are interested in participating in this sale, go here to register at Zaycon Foods.  They will then send you an email with the exact dates and times of the delivery and when you can order your chicken.  The chicken does have to be purchased in 40 pound boxes.

I got 60 pounds back in November and have almost used it all up!!  So this is just in time!  It was really a great thing.  You place your order, then on the day of delivery, you just show up.  They put it in your car for you.  You don't even have to get out!  Last time, they were still searching for a place up until the week of, so don't let that deter you.  They will find a place to deliver.  :)

  1. This sounds like a really good deal. I'm seriously thinking about it. I know I need to decide quickly but I was wondering if you could tell me if this chicken is pretty clean when you get it? It looks like raw chicken you would buy in the store? I have a hard time dealing with raw meat so the less clean up I have to do the better.
    Thanks! :o)

  2. It is pretty clean, but I did have to cut some stuff off of it. I know other people that got it last time didn't and they said it was okay. I just chose to clean it because that extra stuff kind of bothers me! :) It does come as two whole breasts still together, so I chose to cut them apart as well. They are definitely not like breasts you would buy at the store that are totally cleaned. I guess that is the price you pay for cheaper chicken.

  3. Thanks for the info! I expected I would have to remove fat and stuff. Just hoping no feathers or body parts that shouldn't be there. :o) LOL Hopefully I'll be able to talk my husband into helping and he can handle anything that is questionable. :o)
    Thanks again!
